Hey Joe, tell us a bit about your role

My role as a finance broker at Teal Finance, JaeVee's sister company, involves sourcing the most appropriate ways for clients to reach their goals of owning, investing in and/or developing properties.

This can be through a traditional residential or BTL mortgage or more complex bridging, development and commercial finance.

What do you enjoy most?

Every client’s situation is different from the next so finding out people’s motivations and how best to assist, keeps me on my toes.

What was it that drew you to us?

The dynamic office environment.

First impressions?

It’s definitely an energetic office.

What motivates you?

Seeing a process through from start to finish. Navigating around the hurdles just makes the journey interesting.

Who is your favourite superhero and why?

Not really a superhero connoisseur, does Deadpool count?!

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

Cycling very casually to the local pub for a bit of lunch with my wife and daughter. If I have any spare time left (there rarely is), I enjoy playing golf (in fair weather) and have recently taken up running.

Got a secret talent that no one knows about?

I’ve completed a Rubik’s cube in 1 min 24 seconds. Not overly quick in Rubik’s cube circles but pretty happy with it.

Do you have a favourite quote?

If you want the rainbow you’ve got to put up with the rain. Do you know which philosopher said that? Dolly Parton...

Do you know any random facts?

To get clear ice cubes, use boiling water. It is a fact, but not sure how random.

What's your favourite band/artist and song?

This changes from day-to-day but you’ll always find something by Tim Minchin on my playlists.

And finally, what's your favourite biscuit?

A chocolate hobnob always goes down well, or a chocolate and caramel digestive.
